Helping individuals remain safe, independent, and confident in the place they call home.
Meet Grace
Founder of Rooted Independence | Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) | Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS)
Hi! I'm Grace, a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS). I created Rooted Independence because I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and confident in the place they call home.
Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals across a variety of settings, helping them overcome barriers to daily activities and improve their independence. Those experiences inspired me to create a business focused on proactive home safety and accessibility, giving people practical recommendations before small challenges become bigger obstacles.
My Approach
Personalized. Practical. Client-Centered.
Every home is different, and every person has unique goals and routines. That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all recommendations.
My assessments focus on understanding how you use your space so I can provide realistic, personalized solutions that fit your lifestyle—not someone else's.

Why I started Rooted Independence
